Consent Policy & Code of Conduct
Consent is non-negotiable at AYA Society, at our events and in our online community.
This policy applies to every AYA Society event, retreat, and meetup, and to our online community. By registering for an event or joining our community, you agree to it and to our Terms of Use.
We hold these lines firmly. Anyone who breaks them may be asked to leave right away, without a refund, and may not be welcome at future AYA Society events.
Consent
- Nothing is ever expected of you. You can join in, watch, or simply enjoy the company. No one owes anyone anything.
- Ask before you touch, hug, kiss, or join anyone, every time. Never assume.
- Consent is clear, enthusiastic, and freely given, and it can change at any moment. A changed mind is respected right away.
- Consent from one partner is not consent from the other. Each person decides for themselves.
- Silence, flirting, clothing, or past activity is never consent. No pressure, persistence, or negotiating after a no.
- These rules apply to everyone, whatever your gender, orientation, or how long you've been in the lifestyle.
- If our team sees or hears about a consent violation, we may step in immediately, including removing someone from the event.
Shared spaces
- Sexual activity happens only in private rooms or areas we've clearly set aside for it, never in shared or public spaces unless specifically stated by AYA Society and the venue.
- Keep your valuables secured. AYA Society and our venues aren't responsible for lost or stolen items.
Privacy and photos
- No photos, video, or recordings of other guests without their clear permission.
- What happens and who attends stays private. Never share guests' names, photos, or stories outside the event.
- Respect that many guests are not out in their everyday lives.
Alcohol and substances
- Someone who is too intoxicated to make clear decisions cannot give consent.
- Alcohol is served according to local laws and venue rules. Our team or venue staff may stop serving anyone who seems intoxicated or unsafe.
- Illegal drugs are not allowed and may be reported to local authorities.
No weapons
Our events are weapons-free. Firearms (concealed or open carry), knives, and other weapons are not allowed at any event or venue we host. Anyone who brings one will be asked to leave and may be reported to local authorities.
Respect for everyone
We welcome every identity, body, orientation, and relationship style. Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind is not tolerated. Treat staff, venue workers, and other guests with respect.
For theme nights, costumes should celebrate, not mock. Blackface or brownface, sacred or ceremonial dress, and cultural stereotypes are not okay. Not sure about an outfit? Ask us before the event.
Online community
The same rules apply in our Circle community and Facebook group: respect boundaries, keep what members share confidential, and never harass, bully, or discriminate. We may remove content or members who break them.
Sexual health
Be honest with partners about your sexual health and protection boundaries, and respect theirs.
If something feels wrong
Talk to April, Scott, or any member of our team at any time. You will be taken seriously, and you can speak with us privately. You can also reach us at april@ayasociety.com after the event.
What happens if rules are broken
We may give a warning, remove someone from an activity, or ask them to leave the event without a refund, depending on what happened. Serious violations may lead to a permanent ban from AYA Society events and our community.
Agreement
I have read and agree to the AYA Society Cancellation & Refund Policy and the Consent Policy & Code of Conduct.
Guests confirm this agreement with a checkbox when registering for any event.
